Our future field trip for the fantasy unit…
I found the coolest fantasy field trip for NatureGirl and I while trolling faery art blogs yesterday….
FaerieCon International is a huge fairy festival at the Philadelphia Convention Center on October 13-14th. The featured artists alone are beyond a dream.
I thought I would post this if there are any other fantasy art fanatics in the area. We will be attending all day Saturday…and would love to meet you!

I am the mother of two wonderful children, ages 12 & 15, that I have been homeschooling using a blend of Charlotte Mason and unit studies for ten years. Oh, my goodness! What my ds wouldn’t give to be able to go to that!I never knew there was such a thing! Let’s just hope he doesn’t find out or I will never hear the end of it!LOL!
OMG! I am so glad I was tag surfing today or else I might not have seen this. Philly is within 3 hours of my home and I have a few kids in my home (and one big kid) who would love to check this out.

Oh wow! I agree — my daughter would have us driving 2 days out to Philly if she new there were such an opportunity! (Though now that I think on it, we’ll be at Disney World around then, which has got to rank somewhere close to a fairy festival . . . )
